Dodgy front-leg-canter/back-leg-walk cycle for assignment. Rigged uber simply, so he's not stretching correctly at the neck. :noes:

well done, fantastic model, and the skinning isn't to bad at all, better than most of what I can do. :)

1st- the design in usuper cool
2nd - there something problematic with the walk in my opinion- in some part of the cycle it seems like it would fall to his front- it looks like his middle back is pinned to a wall and thats the only thing keeping him steady

Yikes, I never noticed that! Looks like I really need to distribute a lot of his weight to the front, and now that I'm looking at him I think he needs a lot more side to side sway as well.

Thank you so so much! I love helpful comments! :happybounce:

you look like you have a bit of interpenetration on the left legs too where he steps forward. I'd also think about where the muscles should be on it...if you bulge out in the correct places as you walk, it wont look like it's deflatig as much.

Awesome concept though and the animation's pretty spot on.

Ooh thanks man, I hadn't noticed his legs. Will fix that. :la:

For the muscles, would using deformers be the best way to solve that?

Thank you so much for the helpful comment! :happybounce:

I usually use driven joints. It's kind of hard to explain, any chance you could pop into our chatroom ([link]) I can explain there.

Not bad, you've definitely got the basic movements down, just make it look a little less rigid and I'm sure it'll look great. :)

Cheers man! I won't be animating this guy again until I've re-rigged him, but when I do I'll definitely get that sorted out. Thank you for the lovely comment!

Thanks man! :la: Haha, there's no new detail really, I just made a cavity map in zbrush from the older sculpt.
